Crossing the Line Joins the 30th LA Shorts International Film Festival for Its World Premiere
Prakriti Maduro brings together three of her creative roles as writer, director, and actress in Crossing the Line, a seven-minute short film created by a group of Venezuelan filmmakers based in Los Angeles.
Starring Mariela Segovia, the film will celebrate its world premiere at the 30th LA Shorts International Film Festival on August 12, 2026, at 10:00 p.m. at Regal NOHO West. Tickets are available here.
El Frío que Guía Luz to Make Its World Premiere at HollyShorts
AFI thesis short film El Frío que Guía Luz, directed by Emily Gularte and starring Prakriti Maduro and Gala Rasquin, will celebrate its world premiere this August at the HollyShorts Film Festival in Los Angeles.
This deeply moving production holds special meaning for Prakriti and her family, as it marks the first professional fiction project in which Prakriti and her daughter, actress Gala Rasquin, portray mother and daughter on screen.
The world premiere will take place on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the TCL Chinese Theatre,
Theater 6.
