Prakriti's journey as an actress
Prakriti Maduro has over 35 years of acting experience. She began at just 10 years old in school theater and TV commercials, stepping into the professional theater at 16 with Grupo teatral Skena, and landing her first television role at 17. Since then, she has worked across more than 8 countries in Latin American independent films and with a wide range of theater companies, exploring diverse genres. Her journey as an actress has naturally led her to become an acting coach and theater teacher and director, and also, Voice Over artist.

On Stage
Prakriti's primary home is the theater. She is a member of the prestigious Permanent Thinking workshop, instructed by the Venezuelan National Theater Company. Moreover, for over a decade, she served as a teacher, actress, director, and dedicated member of the Skena Theater Company.
She has collaborated with various theater companies, including Citizen Change Theater, Water People Theater Company, Grupo Actoral 80, Rio Teatro Caribe, Imaginarios Vzla, and Akeke Circo-Teatro. Her performances have spanned a wide range of genres, encompassing drama, classics, physical comedy, experimental and improv.
Film and TV
Prakriti’s face became familiar to audiences worldwide through her roles in some of Venezuela’s most iconic television series, including Mi Gorda Bella and Voltea pa’ que te Enamores. These productions reached broad international viewership and marked the beginning of her visibility on screen.
Building on that early success, Prakriti gradually transitioned into film, where she found new artistic depth and creative freedom. Despite coming from a country with a relatively small film industry, she has starred in a wide range of projects, from feature films to short films, and has taken her work across borders, acting in productions from Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain and the United States. Her films have been featured in international festivals, and she has collaborated with renowned filmmakers and actors throughout the Spanish-speaking world, including María Barrancos (Spain), Tony Dalton and Gustavo Sánchez Parra (Mexico), and María Onetto and Manuel Callau (Argentina), among others.
Prakriti continues to explore powerful narratives through film and television, now expanding into English-language projects and international co-productions.

Voice Over Artist
Thanks to her dedication to the craft, Prakriti has been invited on multiple occasions to perform as a narrator and oral storyteller. Her work includes live performances, storytelling sessions, and collaborations with Venezuela’s National System of Orchestras, where she has recited texts and poems that accompany orchestral pieces.
She is also the voice behind several well-known brands in Latin America.
Public Figure
As her artistic career gained national visibility, Prakriti became a recognized public figure, featured in numerous interviews, magazine covers, and cultural events.
She co-created PechaKucha Night Caracas with SuperLab Producciones, offering a platform for transformative ideas. Her voice and public presence also led her to speak at a TEDx Talk on the power of storytelling to drive change.
Today, Prakriti embraces the title of activist. She uses her platform to amplify the voices of underrepresented Venezuelans, speak out against dictatorship, and support projects dedicated to social impact and collective healing.
